The sun was shinning as we rolled towards Mt. Baker WA, a glorious day was ahead of us. It was 2pm as we pulled off of I5, It took a good little bit to get the RV rental, groceries, and directions toward Mt. Baker which we were not exactly sure about. As we drove closer to Baker we started seeing other RV’s and sled trailers in route to the shoot out. We drove toward the sunny bright volcano, fired up for a sunny weekend of riding a new place at a fun event. The MT Baker shoot out is put on by the Glacier Cruisers Snowmobile club in WA. It is a great event that brings out the riders and people of the sport. From what we had read it looked like they have a BBQ up on the mountain on Saturday with local shops putting on the new 2013 demo sled rides, they also put up a fence on a steep hillside so people can do drag race hill climbs. RV camping in the staging area was the thing to do and most people say it fills up, so we were looking forward to it. A good time was coming.

It couldn’t have been a better day. With blue skies and fresh pow we were eating it up! I couldn’t believe it that we got this lucky, all this snow, killer crew, and now big peaks blue bird!! We rode 6 days and each one was off the hook! What a great way to end our Canadian adventure. Our friends Tyler and Nadia were a blast to ride with ………………..

Well winter is some where and we are not going to wait around for it to come. So we have been on the road and will be on the road to find it, and spread the love of the sport! In Pinedale WY, February 23rd at the Pinedale Theater there will be an EXTREME WYOMING SNOWMOBILE FILM night! There will be a raffle, poster signings, and all sorts of things going on. 10 high will be showing some pre films, and then the showing of “WE RIDE” the next film from Alpine Assassins, showcasing the winter of 2011. So come out and support the sport. Alpine Assassins is also very proud to donate 100% of the proceeds from this event to the Pink Ribbon Riders. Spreading breast cancer awaerness thru the sport of snowmobiling.

Due to the severity of the storm the Alpine Assassins North West Film premier will be held Febuary 25th. Towns are out of power, there is mayham, flooding, ice storms, wind, and lots of snow. Sorry for the delay, but ride hard in the mean time.
